Birthdays, Burnt bum and the boys......
So....havent had the time to post lately. Where does the time go ?
Birthdays
I was the grand age of 28 last Wednesday, the 24th. I was working for most of the day but still managed to enjoy it. I had a cake too !!! I received some lovely cards and pressies and birthday wishes which included a phone call at my work from Justin from JAPAN !!! I cried I have to to say after the call - daft cow ! I also spoke with John, my other fab bro who wished me well :) Its always good to chat to him - adds some intellect to my days ! Mum and Dad got me my cake and paid for me to have my hair 'done' which was lovely and I got flowers, cd's, money and some very funky cowboy boots ! A great day was had. The realization that now Im only 2 years from the big 3 0 is a slightly scary thought as I wont get away with half as much as I do now and have always done so. 30 will mean in my head,me being a true adult, time to grow up and stop larking about like those who know me will agree ! Then yesterday my package from Japan arrived - BTW Juzi - I loved it all ! Hello Kitty bits and pieces !!!! I was so excited, Grant just looked at me ! Fab Justin - just Fab ! Thank you :)
Anyhoo.... a birthday wish to Justin now who will be 29 in about...ummm..2hrs . He will be 29. Im sad he's not here to celebrate with but I know that Japan will treat him well on his special day. Happy Birthday Bro' !
Burnt Bum
This is a funny little tale involving Grant, trousers and a death slide !
Sunday, we decided to take they boys to the Farm. Daniel loves it there and we go often. The sun was shining andit was a hot day so we wore shorts etc to take advantage of the weather whilst we could. After looking at the animals and riding around the farm on the 'train', Dan wanted to go the play area. Its a mix of soft shaped toys, cargo nets, slides etc. Now, there is 1 slide there which is not for the faint hearted child. So of course Dan loves it ! Its a sheer drop, then a bump then a drop again and I have to say that there are some brave kids about as you wouldnt get me on it thats for sure ! So, off goes Grant and Dan to play whilst I sat and fed William.
The 2nd time on the 'death slide' as its called, Grant comes skulking across to me and said ' Man the friction on that slide with these trousers dont half burn your bum' ! ( He was wearing 3/4 length cargo pants with the nylon type material). Thinking he was joking I just laughed, but then when he stood up he was proudly sporting a hole in the arse of his trousers across the middle ! The worst part of this was that Grant had decided to go 'commando' as, in his words, ' the trooosers are too bulky otherwise'...so not only had he burnt his trousers he was now showing off 2 bare bum cheeks, bright red and burnt ! OMG - HOW EMBARRASSING !!!!
With nothing to hide the hole, or his butt, he had to wear my shoulder bag across his bum and shimmy the 1/2 mile to the car. I was crying with laughter as was he. I hope you have all learnt that your mother was alwaysright in one way or another when she always told you to make sure you were wearing clean underpants ! :)
The boys
They are fab fab fab !!!!! Growing up too fast though its frightening ! Dan is still totally addicted to Thomas the Train and eats,sleeps and breathes it ! He waffles on about such nonsense its too cute though. William is fine and weighs 17lbs now! What a heffer ! Like mother like son I guess ! :) Eating well and on the go.
