I totally agree with the fine!

I live in a country where we have not one, not two, not three but 4 different types of rubbish!

Normal crap. Metal. Glass. Plastic.

It's easy and places responsibilty on my shoulders. Japan is one the cleanest countries I've ever seen and Britain, sadly one of the dirtiest, because people are lazy.

It doesn't take 5 minutes to sort out the rubbish. AND I KNOW!!! LOL
I do it every day! Crap...tins...plastic...glass...

done done done done...

When we lived in London we didn't have any recycle bins issued to us by the council, just normal bins, they didn't even collect recycleable waste.

You had to chain your bins to railings (if you had them)as they kept getting nicked, like ours did. I phoned the council to get issued with new ones and they said I would have to pay over £10 for each new one. I guess that's why so many people in London don't have bins and just use black sacks, and also explans all the rats.

Here in Huddersfield we have a green recycle wheelie bin which is emptied if we're lucky once a month, which is not nearly enough as after 2 weeks ours is full and smelly (not very hygenic!)

The types of stuff they recycle is limited and there is lots of packaging which says is recycleable on it which they won't take, like plastic bags. We have to take all glass to bins at a recycle station (impossible without a car!)

Also I see people walk up the court putting rubbish in our recyle bins, so how can I control what they put in and do. If they put non- recyclable waste in our bins would I be charged? Maybe I need to padlock our bin to ensure this doesn't happen!
