Nothing like encouraging 4 year olds to refuse food, ditch their packed lunches and become anorexic !!
Although I do agree on healthy eating issues in schools, parents should naturally be more responsible, but having a 4 yr old weighed and being told they are fat ? Ludricrous

Interesting story though although not reported with the usual Mail baiting. The Mail is worse than The Sun, in my opinion. At least the Sun is blatant in its politics. The Mail is more insidious.
I think the whole weight issue with children is becoming a big problem. Of course it can lead to diabetes and other illness' however surely the responsiblity should lie with the parent and not the school. It's another example of how the Blair government is attempting to centralize and instutionalize individual freedoms and responsibilites.
It would make sense to educate parents on the dangers of a bad diet for your children. As parents surely people have the responsibility for the health of their child. Not the school nurse.
